UK chain Byron is launching two new vegan burgers to the menu - featuring Beyond Meat's flagship patty - on June 18.
The Truffler features truffle 'cheese' sauce alongside portobello mushroom, truffle 'mayonnaise', crispy onions, and lettuce. The Cali Cheese features vegan cheddar, roasted garlic 'aioli', smoked tomato ketchup, red onion, pickle, and lettuce.
In addition, the restaurant has launched a vegan Pineapple & Coconut ice-lolly for dessert.
"We know that our diners are often keen for lighter alternatives when the warmer months kick in and our new summer menu ticks all the boxes. The new vegan burgers are the most exciting part, you have classic summer flavours in the Cali Cheese (inspired by California) and all out decadence in the Truffler," Sophie Michell, Byron's Food & Drink Director, said in a statement.
"We designed them to be enjoyed by committed vegans and people who just want to cut down on their meat consumption, without compromising on flavor.
"The lollipops are simply good fun, they are made by a small artisan producer, they are 100 percent natural and are a light, cooling finish to the meal. Byron has always been a supporter of small UK brands and I would like to continue that tradition."
