Legendary plant-based doctor T. Colin Campbell has blasted the BBC in a remarkable and frank interview with Plant Based News [PBN].
T. Colin Campbell authored famous book The China Study - which has sold more than 3 million copies.
The doctor was recently featured in a BBC documentary called Clean Eating - The Dirty Truth.
But Dr. Campbell claims the broadcaster represented him with 'a lack of integrity'.
Speaking to PBN's Klaus Mitchell he said: "I got contacted by the BBC. They wanted to do a documentary and I said, 'sounds great to me'.
"I thought they were going to be an open, objective organization, because I happen to like the [TV series] Horizon program - I think it's the best of its kind in the western world."
But the doctor was disappointed with the final program, and wrote an open letter to the BBC.
In it he said: "Unfortunately, the final product falls far short from being an unbiased investigation of diet and health messages.
"Not only was information and messaging selectively edited with an obvious agenda, but key information was egregiously omitted from his [the lead interviewer's] ‘investigation’.
"Most notably, a recorded interview with Dr. Esselstyn and several of his patients who have reversed advanced heart disease by nutrition, was all egregiously left out."
