If milk comes from a plant, can you still call it milk?
Not according to the dairy industry, who are fighting back in the US, with assistance from Congress.
Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin for example has recently introduced the Dairy Pride Act. The Bill stops non-dairy products such as soy or almond milk from being labeled milk, yogurt, or cheese.
This is despite Baldwin calling herself a “progressive.” As a result, Senator Tammy Baldwin was recently confronted (see video above) at Wisconsin town hall, where animal rights activists called her hypocritical.
