Matt and Phil Letten - aka The Vegan Bros - will be releasing a book later this year.

The Bros - who say they want to 'overthrow the stereotypes of what a typical vegan looks like' - will launch VODKA IS VEGAN: A Vegan Bros Manifesto for Better Living and Not Being an A**hole in June.

The book will include grocery guides, actions plans, tips on staying vegan while traveling and socializing, and finding vegan swaps for favorite foods.

According to a spokesperson from the book's publishing house: "The Bros are overthrowing the stereotypes of what a typical vegan looks like. [They] are the new face of veganism - loud, proud, and fighting for a better world, one plate at a time."

The pair has come under fire from some in the vegan community, over their style of advocacy and their permissive attitudes around issues like consuming honey. Some have accused them of misogyny.

But the pair has 'shrugged off' this criticism, saying: "We’re trying to reach these other types of people [who aren’t natural converts to the vegan movement]. And we’re reaching them effectively."

They believe their approach can reach people who might not otherwise be persuaded by more traditional discourse around veganism.

According to the book's publisher: "This book is for the vegans or vegan-curious, who need a little help convincing their family and friends why their lifestyle is the bomb, and why they should try it, too.

"This isn’t a cookbook, and it doesn’t adhere to the woo woo, glamourized, luxury lifestyle that most vegan recipe books and manifestos tend to follow.

"It's a lot of information, a little memoir, a lot of tough love, and 100 percent fun to read."
