Celebrity tattoo artist and make-up maverick Kat Von D has revealed that she will be adding a range of vegan brushes to her make-up brand.

The popular cosmetics line - which has been a hit with many for its long lasting, often high coverage formulations - already contains seven brushes, but this new offering is set to be the 'most effective' yet, according to a post Von D made on Instagram.

'Excited'

The star wrote: "So excited about launching an entire #crueltyfree and #vegan line of makeup brushes for @katvondbeauty! [coming soon!]

"I've teamed up with my #KvDArtistryCollective artists to create the most effective brush formations, using the highest grade synthetic fibers that mimic the same product distribution you would get from animal-based bristles.

"We are living in amazing times right now where technology is making it so easy to make compassionate choices in the products we purchase, without having to exploit animals."

'Proud'

The star added that she is 'so f****** proud' of the time and energy her team put into creating cruelty-free products, and spreading the message.

She added: "Lastly, I wanna thank all my followers who have transitioned their makeup kits to cruelty free. It makes me proud to call you guys my friends!"
