Vegan make-up entrepreneur and celebrity tattoo artist has taken to Instagram to share a positive message about Pride Month.
During the initiative, which runs throughout June, various events are held globally in order to recognize the influence LGBTQ people have had around the world. It takes place in June as it is the month the Stonewall Riots took place in 1969.
Von D posted a picture of herself wearing a pair of rainbow-colored sunglasses, captioning it: "Every month is #pridemonth."
A number of fans thanked Kat Von D for her post, with one saying: "As a member of the LGBTQ community I appreciate allies like Kat supporting us. It is such an important and inspiring time. Thank you!"
Another added: "Thank you Kat Von D for using your platform to spread a positive message."
Many respondents used the post an opportunity to continue the debate sparked by the pregnant star when she said she would not vaccinate her unborn child.
Writing about receiving unsolicited advice after announcing that she was pregnant, Von D shared some of her baby plans - including bringing her child up vegan. The star has continued to receive opinions on vaccination since the post, with many condemning her position.
But some users tried to steer the conversation back on topic, with one writing: "How about we focus on the positive message that [she] was trying to make with her post...Let's love one another and just decide to be nice! Let’s all go back to her original intent and spread the word on #pridemonth."
