More than 20 million people have watched the viral video

Rapper Grey took the internet by storm last year with his freestyle 'Thanksgiving' rap - with the video racking up more than 20 million views.

Now the talented musician will be honored with animal rights charity PETA's 2017 Best Song Award for his famous track.

The animal-friendly star, who just released his new EP, Missed Calls, has persuaded countless fans to ditch meat and dairy products, with his music and his cult fashion line.

PETA President Ingrid Newkirk, who will present the award, said: "From his massively popular video to his cool cruelty-free fashion label, Plant Based Drippin, Grey uses his talents to inspire others to eat and wear vegan.

"PETA is excited to recognize this inspiring rapper for his work for animals."

Grey will be given the award at Sublime Restaurant & Bar, 1431 N. Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale.
