Vegan Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal has joined forces with top plant-based chef Matthew Kenney in a bid to transform the global food service industry.

Khaled - who is a Co-director of Plant Based News - and Kenney's first project through their partnership 'Folia' is a Summer vegan menu at the Beverly Hills Four Seasons Hotel, which launches on July 25 and runs until September 7. Dishes include kelp noodles with cashew pepper sauce and Coconut Cream Pie.

But this is the just the beginning of what Khaled has described as a 'larger vision' in changing the entire hospitality and food service industry. He wants to change menus around the world, facilitating the introduction of innovative, healthy plant-based options.

Transforming the food industry

He told PBN: "My company, KBW Ventures, and Matthew Kenney have formed a partnership through which we've created a consultancy and teaching company.

"We will target hospitality companies, as well as those with a role in the food and beverage industry, to help them better understand what plant-based food really is, and to facilitate them transforming their 'healthy options' into truly healthy options that are tasty and look amazing.

"And this service is not just for high-end food places or high-end hospitality companies, but for everyone. It will be for the masses - all ends of the spectrum. It will be for every type of cuisine, from fast food and casual dining to fine dining."
