Athlete, businesswoman and owner of VBites, and vegan advocate Heather Mills has started writing a column for the Daily Mirror newspaper.

The column, which will be published every two weeks, will focus on the health benefits of a plant-based diet.

With the Mirror's large circulation figures, her words are expected to reach many thousands of people.

In the first column, published today (October 4), Mills discussed how better gut care could be the key to feeling happier and healthier.

Subsequent topics will focus on health issues Mills has experienced which haven't been helped by conventional medicine, and how she has tackled them through diet.

"I have started a column in the Daily Mirror to reach the masses and educate them about a healthier plant-based way of living," Mills told Plant Based News. “Watch out for it.”
