Vegan Food Takes Over London Fashion Week As Plant-Based Brand Feeds Models, Artists, And Crew

Vegan food took over last week's London Fashion Week event, as plant-based brand BOL stepped in as the event's official Front Row Food Partner.

BOL - which makes a range of vegan salad jars, veg pots, soup bowls, and dinner boxes - became 100 percent plant-based last Summer. It started taking animal products out of its dishes in 2017, starting with meat and fish, then finally removed all dairy by June 2018, in a bid to reduce its environmental footprint.

The company brought a range of its salad jars to the British Fashion Council Show Space at the Strand - which hosted more than 50 British and International collections across the five-day event - so the models, artists, designers, and crew all had something convenient to tuck into.

Positive message

"We love the fact the British Fashion Council is pushing the positive fashion message through the world-renowned platform of London Fashion Week," Paul Brown, BOL Founder, told Plant Based News.

"As a small, 100 percent plant-based brand, it was so exciting for us to be invited backstage to feed all of the models, artists, designers, and crew across the five-day event. 'It's amazing to finally have healthy, fresh food at a show for once' was my favorite quote from one of the models backstage.

"Our singular purpose is to inspire the world to eat more plants, and there’s no doubt that this plant-powered movement goes well beyond food, with ethical fashion equally gaining traction and encouraging people to live a more socially conscious and responsible life.

"I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the BFC and LFW for inviting us down and very much look forward to growing our relationship with them, too. Eat plants, love life."
