The movie, directed by Keegan Kuhn and narrated by ultra-athlete Rich Roll, tells the story of the incredible athlete and advocate Fiona Oakes, an ultramarathoner who also runs a vegan animal sanctuary.
Oakes is the fastest woman in the world to run a marathon on all seven continents. She holds three marathon world records and five course records - all achieved after losing a knee cap to a debilitating medical condition in her teens.
"At the age of 14, my doctors told me and my mum that I may never walk properly again," Oakes said in a statement sent to Plant Based News.
Despite this, the athlete became an ultramarathoner. Running for Good shows Oakes as she attempts to set a new global record in endurance racing, and competes in the 'toughest footrace on earth' the Marathon Des Sables, 250km race through the Sahara Desert.
"Fiona is a truly remarkable athlete and human being. She has defied all odds to become a world record-breaking runner despite a horrific injury. Her sense of purpose is so strong that nothing can stop her. Yet at the same time she is one of the most humble and selfless people I have met," said Elisabet Barnes, two-time winner of the MDS.

Despite this acclaim, Oakes remains humble, telling Plant Based News: "I was so honored to be asked to do this film by Keegan [Kuhn], someone I have such great respect for.
"His remarkable filmmaking skills having had such a great impact in bringing the horrors, and consequences, of animal agriculture to the mainstream, general public.
"I think Keegan has done an amazing job and have no words which can fully articulate my gratitude to all those involved in making this happen. All I can say is thank-you to all involved and for those kind enough to watch and support the film and take on board the message I am trying to convey through my words and actions."
