The pop-up project will run through October 8
Vancouver, Canada
Vancouver is home to a fast-growing vegan community

A vegan community resource center has opened in Vancouver.

The Vancouver Vegan Resource Centre (VVCR) is a pop-up project, and will be open from October 4 through October 8.

According to the event Facebook page, the center 'will be comprised of a resource centre, a community library, host programmed events, and have volunteers and peer support available for visitors'.

Inclusivity

The center is designed to make the lifestyle easier and more accessible for all.

VVCR Founder Zoe Peled told the Courier: "It welcomes those who are at multiple stages of the vegan journey.

"It's an inclusive community space where folks can learn about various components of veganism."

Partners

The VVCR is partnered with a number of reputable nonprofit vegan organizations including Sea Shepherd, Animal Justice, PETA, and Mercy for Animals.

It is running in conjunction with a vegan pop-up shop, so there are also animal-friendly items available for purchase.

The center is currently located on Main Street, and will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. until October 8.
