Actor and outspoken vegan Mayim Bialik has shared her favorite Thanksgiving recipe - pumpkin chocolate chip cookies - on her YouTube channel.

Bialik, who is known for portraying Amy Farrah Fowler on comedy hit show The Big Bang Theory, was joined by her friend, Chad Jamian, to bake a batch of plant-based cookies.

The cookie recipe has been taken from the actor's own cookbook, Mayim's Vegan Table.

"I may not be nuts about Thanksgiving, but am nuts for baking chocolate chip pumpkin cookies at this time of year," the 41-year-old wrote in the description box of the video.
