Vegan Brand Rebel Kitchen's New Yogurts Launch In UK Stores

Plant-based brand Rebel Kitchen has launched its new range of dairy-free coconut yogurts in UK stores.

The new and improved yogurt line, which is made with the meat of organic, young coconuts, includes four flavors: original, vanilla, chocolate, and coffee.

The vegan products are now available at Ocado, Whole Foods Market, and other independent stockists, a Rebel Kitchen spokesperson told PBN.

Sustainable

Rebel Kitchen's yogurt products are made from the meat of young green coconuts, which is a by-product of the company's coconut water production.

"We saw this as an opportunity to innovate and use every part of the coconut, so that nothing goes to waste; turning a problem into a solution," the brand said in a statement.

Rebel Kitchen co-founder Tamara Arbib says: "We are excited to be setting an example of how food businesses can address the issue of waste when they are committed to it. 

"We were made aware of this by-product issue by our supplier and are excited to not only have found a solution but to have also created a delicious much-needed dairy alternative for yogurts in a truly sustainable way."

Yogurt

The yogurt range, which is available in 125g serving size and retails for £1.99, is gluten-free, soy-free, non-GMO, refined sugar-free, as well as free from additives, preservatives, and thickeners.

The coconut yogurts are made with vegan yogurt cultures, which gives the product its authentic yogurt taste.

Rebel Kitchen's original yogurt flavor is also available in a 400g serving size - retailing for £4.49.
