V-Bites Vegan Fish And Chips Debut At Second UK Pub Chain

V-Bites vegan Fishless Steaks have officially launched at UK pub chain Hungry Horse.

Owned by athlete, philanthropist and advocate Heather Mills, the vegan brand's breaded fish alternative will now be available at the chain's 280 plus locations across the UK.

This follows the product's launch at 180 Greene King Flaming Grill locations in May.

The Fishless Steaks are made from ingredients such as wheat, konjac flour, and tapioca starch and, according to the company's website, are created with health in mind.

The product description reads: "Our vegan Fishless Steaks contain fewer calories and contains more fibre than standard fish whilst replicating the flavours that we've come to know and enjoy."

Sustainability

According to V-Bites - an environmentally conscious brand - the Fishless Steaks are 'the world's most sustainable fish'.

On the company's approach, the webpage reads: "We continue to innovate on our food system by developing better methods of production and foods that do better for humans, the planet, and all beings living on it."
