Plant-Based Milk Sales Skyrocket

The plant-based milk industry is projected to rise to $21.7 billion by 2022

The general public is becoming increasingly aware of the negative health, ethical and environmental effects of dairy products. With cow’s milk being a risk factor for diseases such as heart disease and type 1 diabetes in infants; mistreatment of cows; and greenhouse gas emissions, many people are switching to dairy-free alternatives. In fact, so many people are switching that a report titled, "Dairy Alternative Market - Global Opportunity Analysis and Industry Forecast, 2014 - 2022" estimated that the dairy alternative market is expected to reach $21.7 billion by the year 2022. Growing at a rate of about 13.3% between 2016-2022, the industry is booming!

So what do you think? Will you be switching to a dairy-free alternative? Let us know down in the comments.
