Plant Based Food On The Rise: Impossible Burger Hits New Locations

The 'bleeding' vegan burger is slowly and surely becoming the norm

The plant-based Impossible Burger has become available at four Long Island locations, as well as in central Pennsylvania.

The 'cult burger', which bleeds and tastes like meat due to a plant substance called heme, is now available at Long Island Bareburger locations including Great Neck, Plainview, Port Washington, and Rockville Centre.

Pennsylvanians can also try the bleeding burger at locations of Arooga's Grille House & Sports Bar.

The Impossible Burger is the brainchild of high-tech Silicon Valley-based startup Impossible Foods, which developed a meat-free patty that 'uses a fraction of the Earth's natural resources', according to the company's website.

The plant meat burger utilizes 95 percent less land, 74 percent less water - and creates 87 percent less greenhouse gas emissions compared to beef burgers.

Vegan celeb Jaden Smith has recently joined forces with the brand in a bid to launch a slider trio.
