New York is the most vegan-friendly city in the U.S., according to a new report.

Conducted by finance website WalletHub, analysts looked into the 100 biggest American cities and ranked them based on vegan friendliness - and concluded that NYC is the best for plant-based eaters.

Portland is the runner-up, followed closely by Orlando, while Chicago has the lowest percentage of restaurants serving at least one vegan option.

Greensboro, North Carolina has the lowest ranking, and is the most unwelcoming American city for vegans.

The report, which assessed 15 different factors to come to a conclusion, considered vegan grocery cost, restaurant accommodation, and prevalence of farmers markets, among others.
