A recruitment agency specializing in matching people with vegan jobs in companies who align with their values - sustainable, vegan and ethical treatment for all - has been launched.

Citizen Kind was launched by Emma Osborne, who has more than a decade's experience working in recruitment, and has been vegan since 2015.

When Osborne realized she had become weary of advocating for companies whose values she didn't share, she ended up taking a year-long sabbatical and traveled around the world.

She set up her business so she could work proactively to find candidates the right place for them to pre-empt the needs of the growing vegan movement, and counts restaurants, e-commerce companies, investment firms and a charity amongst Citizen Kind's clients.

'Normalizing veganism'

"Being vegan is still considered an extreme choice even now, and so I wanted to help normalize a compassionate way of life by opening up opportunities in vegan, sustainable and ethical companies to those consciously reducing their impact on the planet," said Founder Emma Osborne.

"By bringing love and compassionate for each other, the planet and animals into the workplace; you create an environment where ideas, collaboration, and action can grow.

"This way, I'm putting my corporate skills to use for the good of those who can't speak for themselves, and bringing awareness to the crisis at hand. I can't think of a better job for me."
