Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver - who is currently doing a '5 Day Veggie Challenge' - has launched a new veggie/vegan menu across his Jamie's Italian restaurant chain.
According to the outlet, the chef is a 'massive fan of eating with the seasons, making the most of gorgeous fresh veggies and supporting Meat-Free Monday'.
As a result the new menu - which is available now - offers a range of meat-free meals, many of which can be customised to be made suitable for vegans.
Options on the menu (here) that are - or can be made - vegan include veggie tagliatelle bolognese (ditch the cheese), puttanesca pizza, and Sicilian-style cauliflower.
According to the brand: "The menu is full of our delicious classic dishes that we know you love - think bruschettas, bold salads, and loads of gorgeous pastas, as well as some dishes that we've created especially for you.
"Our new Casarecce puttanesca will only be available on our vegetarian menu – fiery tomato & garlic sauce with black olives, capers, extra virgin olive oil & veggie Parmesan. It's perfect for vegans, too."
While Jamie Oliver is not vegan or vegetarian, he is currently engaged in meat-free initiatives aimed at bringing veggie dining to the fore.
One of them is his 5-Day Veggie Challenge. He said: "With this challenge, I want to inspire everyone – veggies and meat-lovers alike – to embrace the wonderful world of veg, every day.
"Knowing how to make veg and fruit the stars of the show is such an exciting way to cook.
"Plus, eating more veg is always going to put you in a good place. It’s good for your wallet, good for the planet and it can be really good for your health."
