Kylie Jenner has taken to social media to post about 'trying out this whole vegan thing'.

The star - who is the youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner family - posted pictures of her plant-based meal.

The first image showed vegan tacos topped with dairy-free cheese, salsa and a smoothie. She followed it up with a portion of vegan, raw, soy-free and dairy-free nachos.

Response

Her revelation was met with a mixed response online, with some questioning whether her apparent endorsement of the vegan lifestyle would help or harm the movement.

The topic was posted on forum Reddit, prompting fierce debate.

Reddit user Manka Fitness wrote: "But is it really the right type of influenced teens we need right now?

"We have so much work ahead of us and building up a solid reputation around living a plant based lifestyle should be our priority. I believe that this will hinder us a little.

"But the counter argument here is...any press is good press. I just hope she has not alternative motive, but that's a stretch."

'Small club'

But a user going by the name 6lalalane countered this argument, saying: "Would having some dumb people in the club hurt us, exactly?

"I'm being serious and appealing to your expertise, because I don't really get it.

"Does it have to do with us being relatively small?"
