Posting a video of the dish,which appears to feature a vegetable wellington alongside roast potatoes, braised carrots, vegetables, and gravy, Ramsay wrote: "It's happened....the vegan roast has landed at Bread Street Kitchen."
A blog post shared by Bread Street Kitchen last week spoke about the rise of the vegan roast, saying that while its traditional counterpart makes 'everyone come together', it 'just won't cut it for the veggies and vegans out there'.
"Last year the UK overtook the leader, Germany, in the amount of new vegan products that were released," says the post. "Plant-based diets are trending, and dairy free milks are offered in any coffee shop worth its salt.
"Between 2014-2018 the number of UK vegans quadrupled, and the sign ups for 2019’s Veganuary doubled from last year. Veganuary was something that our guests celebrated, and Gordon’s famous Beet Wellington took off at Bread Street Kitchen and remains on the restaurant's dedicated vegan menu.
"If the roast is going to survive, it needs to evolve to meet the expectations, and diets, of our generation. Hence, the rise of the vegan and vegetarian roast."
Despite being famously anti-vegan in the past, Ramsay has expanded the vegan offerings in his restaurant in recent times.
Earlier this year, he launched a vegan menu to celebrate Veganuary, featuring dishes including wild mushroom and truffle risotto and chocolate avocado and almond mousse.
In 2018, the chef added a vegan pizza to his menu, creating media buzz by sharing an image of the cheeseless pizza, tweeting: "Going to give this vegan thing a try. Yes guys, you heard that right."
Before this, Ramsay had often spoken out about how much he hates vegans. Earlier last year, an anti-vegan joke he made went viral.
His tweet that was retweeted more than 43,000 times, said: "I’m a member of PETA! People eating tasty animals...."But he received short shrift online.
Animal rights charity PETA soon jumped in to respond, saying: "Oh dear, Gordon. We’ve heard that old line before."A real 'hell's kitchen' is full of corpses and secretions from artificially inseminated, castrated, and routinely abused animals."
