The Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale will return for its 11th year this month, running from April 15 - 30.
The event, which was founded by lifelong animal activist Gary Loewenthal and is now run by ProVeg International, has raised more than $440,000 and reached 27 countries across six continents.
"The Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale connects our growing, global community through grassroots activism in the most positive of ways - spreading the joy of plant-based living one slice of cake at a time," ProVeg's Senior Campaign Manager, Sean Mackenney, said in a statement sent to Plant Based News.
"Whether you're a novice or a guru married to your oven, check out the campaign's website where you can find all the tips, tricks and instructions for the event. There, you'll also come across the registration page for those taking part and more information on ProVeg's mission to motivate people to live a more plant-based lifestyle.
"What's more, if you find yourself struggling to come up with some vegan baking inspiration, don't fret! The website contains plenty of recipes ranging from brownies to banana bread as well as tips for replacing eggs and dairy with eco-friendly, vegan alternatives. Or, if you fancy yourself more of a cake connoisseur than a baker, you can find a list of all the events taking place in your area."
