Finalists Announced For Plant-Based 'Dragon's Den' Style Business Competition

The event, by plant-powered company Vevolution, attracted a huge number of quality entrants this year - showing how many people want to build ethical businesses

The finalists for a Dragon's Den-style vegan business pitching competition have been announced.

This is the third outing for Pitch + Plant, which was created by vegan events company Vevolution. It will take place on July 13 at Lush Studio in Soho. 


The finalists include The Green Grill & The Green Butchers, KINGS, Club Cultured, JACKED, Native Snacks, Well Bean Company, Five Dot Botanics

They will pitch to a panel of investors and plant-based business experts including Matthew Glover, Chairman of Veganuary, Damien Clarkson, Co Founder of Vevolution, Swatee Deepak, Director of With and For Girls at Purposeful, Jonathan Petrides, Co Founder of allplants, and Grace Regan, Founder of Spicebox

The finalists will be pitching for seed investment in their startups made by Vevolution.

'Overwhelmed by the quality'

"We were overwhelmed by the quality of applications this year, there is an abundance of entrepreneurs creating exciting plant-based businesses that represent a brighter way of living on the planet," Pitch + Plant, Vevolution Co-Founder, Damien Clarkson, said.

"We look forward to investing in the winners of Pitch + Plant and helping them on their entrepreneurial journey."
