A speech about effective vegan activism by Plant Based News Co-founder Robbie Lockie is now available to watch online on YouTube.

Lockie made the speech - titled Bringing down the tree of carnism - at Vevolution Topics: Effective Advocacy 2018.

In it, he discusses why people choose to consume animal products and what vegan advocates can do to encourage people to move away from these choices.

Vegan advocacy

"I was delighted to be asked to speak at Vevolution Topics - a really crucial and unique event which brings together both vegans and the vegan-curious.

"Effective advocacy is one of my passions. Like all vegans, I want to see a total shift away from the exploitation and abuse of all animals, and I think it's important we look at the best ways to do that.

"In the speech, I share some of my research and campaign experience, as well as information from thought-leaders in the movement. I hope everyone who sees the speech finds it useful and inspiring."
