Downton Abbey actor Peter Egan has spoken again about his passion for veganism.
Talking at the launch party for Veganuary 2018 last week, the 71-year old animal rights advocate said: "Veganism connects my head and heart in the most perfect way."
The acting stalwart, who is known for portraying Hugh MacClare in the British drama TV show, said veganism is 'the best decision [he's] ever made'.
Egan is known for refusing to have meat on his plate or be filmed using a gun in the Downton Abbey series.
The celeb has now spoken out about the cruelty inflicted on reindeer and camels involved in Christmas events, branding the acts as 'inhumane', and a 'poverty of imagination'.
"Reindeer and camels deserve compassion and respect," the actor said ahead of the reindeer events planned for Leeds, London, and other cities across the UK this weekend.
Egan, who participated in the Veganuary 2016 challenge and remained vegan ever since, is now one of the renowned charity's ambassadors - as well as the Vice-President for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals [RSPCA].
He has also recently taken part in a global campaign aiming to put an end to Indonesia's dog meat trade.
