Navigating social media platforms like Instagram can feel like a bit of a minefield, as there are millions of users, and it can be tough to find who to follow.
Because of this, it is impossible to create an exhaustive list, however we've decided to pick just five of our favorites to share with you. There are many other advocates, foodies, and other inspiring people not included below.
Do you ever get frustrated by how people try and justify the exploitation and abuse of animals? Dip into Vegan Sidekick's brilliant comics. Not only will you find an engaged community with shared values, you might even pick up some good tips for your next debate.
If you're looking for vibrant, healthy, frankly incredible vegan food, you won't go wrong following Rachel Ama. The chef, who recently released her cookbook Rachel Ama's Vegan Eats: Tasty plant-based recipes for every day, shares mouthwatering food pics, but also talks about other lifestyle topics, including skincare and the value of a digital detox.
There are so many animal advocacy organizations doing incredible work, but Sea Shepherd is definitely worth following (if you aren't already) as it brings attention to animals who are often ignored even within the vegan community - those who live in the sea.
A vegan legend, Fat Gay Vegan (aka Sean O'Callaghan) is a brilliant resource for tasty food updates and inspiration, as he is at the cutting edge of the international vegan food and drink scene. His Instagram feed also includes occasional updates on popular culture, books, and fashion.
Vegan foodie couple Roxy and Ben create plant-based food that is not only delicious, but also easy to prepare requiring few ingredients. So Vegan is a must-follow account for newbie vegans who need inspiration, as well as veterans who are in the market for some new meal ideas.
*To reiterate, this is a very small list, and there are many other creators and inspirational people we love in Instagram.
