A 100% vegan fish and chip is opening in Kent on Friday.
Veg'n Out, which will open in the coastal town of Broadstairs, is owned by the Goodwin family.
It will offer vegan alternatives to fish, chicken nuggets and burgers, and beef burgers, as well as classic 'chippie' chips, cakes, rolls, baguettes, and ice-cream.
"We are the first vegan chip shop currently in Kent - the nearest one is Hackney, and it's not run by vegans," Stacy Goodwin - who runs the outlet with her sister, parents and son - told Kent Live.
"We hope to be successful but also to show that times are changing and people are waking up to the fact meat and dairy are no good for you.
"Hopefully we can get the word out that you can have fast food that doesn't have to come from an animal, and it's obviously healthier as the vegan diet is cholesterol free. You can be vegan and have nice fast food."
The outlet's opening follows the recent launch of Sutton & Sons' all-vegan shop in Hackney.
The store - which also has outlets in Stoke Newington and Islington - offers customers plant-based fish and chips, as well as pie and mash, battered vegan sausage, and 'prawns'.
"It's TRUE! We are opening a vegan stand-alone, London’s first vegan 'fish' and chips at 240 Graham Road," said a post by the company before its October 4 opening.
