Almost 10 percent of UK adults want to go vegan in 2018, according to a new poll.
Polling from 2016 shows that around one percent of GB adults - more than half a million - are currently vegan.
Double that number - 19 percent - of UK adults said they will try a vegan or dairy-free diet this year.
The research, by Blue Diamond, also found that a staggering 28 percent of young adults said they will try giving up cheese and milk this year.
The poll - which shows a growing interest in veganism - ties in with data from Veganuary.
The charity - which encourages and supports people to try a vegan diet during January - expects sign-ups to pass 150,000 by the end of the month.
As a result of the polling, Blue Diamond has launched a new range of almond drinks, to cater to the growing number of people interested in ditching dairy.
Ian Greengrass, Managing Director at Blue Diamond Europe, said: "Following the research, we wanted to create a range of almond drinks that helps people jump on this trend and also provides added nutrition.
"We're always looking for innovative new ways to extend the dairy-free category."
