Talk show host Stephen Colbert will be embarking on a plant-based diet for at least 17 days after losing a bet.

He announced the news on his program The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, during an interview with vegan actor Woody Harrelson.

Comedian Colbert asked Harrison: "How do I get my protein?" This prompted Harrelson to explain that people don't need as much of the macronutrient as they think.

According to VegNews, a care packaged containing 'Korean ribs, ribeye steak, burgers, Garlic Pepper Havarti, smoked gouda, and pepper jack cheese' was delivered to Colbert by The Herbivorous Butcher after he made the announcement.

He also reportedly received an assortment of non-dairy ice-cream flavors from NadaMoo.
