Top actor Kate Winslet will narrate new pro-vegan documentary Eating Our Way To Extinction according to a source involved in the film, Plant Based News can reveal.
The film, which aims to 'expose the true cost of eating animals', focuses on issues around compassion, environment, health and economics. Leonardo DiCaprio described a viral clip of the movie as 'the video future generations will be wishing everyone watched today'.
A crowdfunding campaign for the film reached its target of around £140,000 in January 2017, and according to producers Otto and Ludo Brockway, they have been working hard since, with principal photography starting in August last year.
'Vegan is fun'
According to the actor, creating vegan juices packed full of green veg including spinach, kale, cucumbers is a key part of her 'self-care' routine.
She added: "There's a lot of plant-based focus in our home. My husband turning vegan is relatively recent, so that’s been a really fun education because you have to learn to be a little more inventive with foods.

There is currently no release date available for the film, though it is believed it will hit screens in 2019. Filmmakers Otto and Ludo Brockway, who describe the shift towards a plant-based diet as 'a global phenomenon' want to inspire their audience.
They say: "Celebrities, leaders and famous athletes all over the world are making the switch, and the growing interest in a plant-based lifestyle is hitting the mainstream media almost every day.
"The film will aim to leave audiences feeling moved and inspired; that by making the shift to a plant-based diet, they are joining millions of people all over the planet in a global movement that is beginning to change the world."
