Celebrity actor and animal-rights advocate Pamela Anderson has launched a vegan bag collection in collaboration with cruelty-free fashion house Ashoka Pairs.

The Baywatch star, who regularly uses her platform to promote veganism, has been working with the brand since January 2019 alongside designer David Mateo.

The collection comprises of four vegan bags, available in four different colors, all of which are made using a leather-alternative made from apple skin. The collections debuts on May 10.

'Brimming with ideas'

"Working on this Vegan bag project with Pamela, a global celebrity and committed activist is an honor and a fabulous experience," Ashoka Pairs said in an online statement.

"Behind the star, we discovered an intelligent, approachable, sincere, and creative woman who is brimming with ideas and energy.

"It is this singularity that we have managed to express through this Pamela Anderson x Ashoka Paris collection."

Part of the sales of the collection will be donated to the Pamela Anderson Foundation - an initiative supporting organizations and individuals that 'stand on the front lines in the protection of human, animal, and environmental rights'.
