Matthew Kenney is set to open a convenience store in Venice, California,
offering a wide range of vegan products.

Kenny is
responsible for another of other plant-based businesses, including Australia's first
fully plant-based hotel restaurant, Alibi.

'Sustainable
and practical'

The shop, New
Deli, will carry items such as packaged snacks, prepared foods, and even
organic wines and beer - with a focus on 'sustainable, practical, everyday
products'.

According to reports, Kenney has plans for stylish design, patio seating,
and a prime location right by Venice Beach.

The chef partnered
with local design company, Dex Studio, to create a space that stands out.

He described
the space on Facebook as
'modern
and beautiful', having 'a large and very green back patio'.
