Vegans menus and fairytale-themed weddings have been predicted to be two of the biggest wedding trends for next year.

Hamish Shephard, Founder of Bridebook.co.uk, stated that vegan and free-from menus will grow, and grazing tables and buffet spreads are on the rise.

'Rapid growth'

According to Heart, Shephard said: "The rapid growth in vegetarian and veganism, especially in the millennial generation, has led to an increase in such foods being served at weddings.

"Even couples who aren't themselves vegans are more empathetic than ever before, and they are keen to cater for guests with all dietary requests."

Vegan weddings

Last year, a luxury hotel in the UK launched its first vegan wedding package in a bid to meet growing demand.

The Green House Hotel in Bournemouth - which describes itself as an 'eco-boutique' - offers couples vegan food, wedding cake, hair and make-up, and footwear, as well as Fairtrade UK flowers.

In this modern age, no one wants to harm animals, and with the rise of veganism it can be challenging to find vegan-friendly make-up," Victoria Wood, Founder of Greener Beauty, said in a statement sent to Plant Based News.

"This is why we set up Greener Beauty; to give people one central place to find everything they needed from vegan-friendly treatments to vegan-friendly products."
